BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU FOR KIDS AT GRACIE BARRA HEIGHTS
Jiu-jitsu is more than a sport, it is a powerful tool in shaping and transforming lives and realities. We have classes for Little Champions (3 to 7-year-olds) and Junior Champions (8 to 14-year-olds).
Besides all of the benefits for health, children who train jiu-jitsu learn the values of the gentle art, which include: Respect, Obedience, Honor, and Companionship.
As a contact sport, Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu provides a very challenging yet safe and caring environment for a child to mature towards a real life champion. The outcome of continued childhood practice of GB BJJ goes far beyond the accomplishments on the mats and martial arts.

Small Steps, Big changes
Prepare your kid to the world
Sense of discipline, hierarchy, and respect: Like most martial arts, jiu-jitsu prizes respect. Following their coaches’ instructions and learning about hierarchy changes children’s view of the world.
Self Confident kids
Dealing with victories and losses promotes self-confidence: Learning new techniques, upgrading belt colors, and winning competitions provide kids with a sense of accomplishment. Thriving in life or at jiu-jitsu is not to say stepping over others: we don’t always win, and there is a lot to learn from our losses.
Friendship
Jiu-jitsu is about integration and interaction, and there’s room for everyone: It is impossible to practice jiu-jitsu and not to socialize: friendships naturally develop on the mat during the sport’s practice. Qualities such as cooperation, partnership, and friendship are formed by learning jiu-jitsu.
Quality of Life
Physical well-being: Jiu-jitsu is a physical activity, it is not just about the body, but also the mind. We all know it: healthy mind, healthy body!
Self Defense
Jiu-jitsu is a great martial art whose benefits include building self-defense skills.
